The vestiges of the Catalan dominion are still visible today in the municipality of Alghero. One of the main landmarks of the summer nightlife in northern Sardinia, Alghero overlooks the open sea and the western Mediterranean currents, presenting some of the most crystal clear waters of the west coast. North of the town, the Porto Conte Natural Park embraces some of the most unique naturalistic attractions such as the Capo Caccia promontory overlooking Alghero’s harbor and the Neptune Caves hidden at the foot of the rocky complex.
Alghero is the ideal destination for lovers of nightlife and places of great historical heritage. Among the streets of the town it is in fact possible to admire the legacy of the Spanish influence, which with its almost Arab-like motifs has merged with the local style in a surprising mix of colors and shapes.
