Bosa

Built near the mouth of the Temo, the colorful village of Bosa is reminiscent of a small Venice. Part of the Municipality of Oristano, Bosa is a charming and accessible town. The castle of Serravalle, which from the hill of the same name soars over the whole town, bears witness to a place in continuous transformation. The streets of Bosa tell of Byzantine, Aragonese, Spanish and Hapsburg kingdoms. The ancient tanneries that neatly overlook the south bank of the river are still there, now converted into habitable spaces, in memory of the extraordinary artisan tradition linked to the production of high quality leather from the end of the 19th century.

The nature around Bosa offers among the most unique attractions of the island as the only Sardinian colony of Grifone protected species and among the largest of the local birdlife, or like the lunar landscapes of the natural pool of Cane Malu, excavated over time by impetus of the western Mediterranean seas.
